Its virtually impossible to wear false eyelashes made of mink and not be noticed. False eyelashes last made popular in the 60’s when Twiggy went for the “angel eyes” affect have now reemerged on Hollywood faces, such as Madonna, who glued on red fox-fur lashes for the Oscars, J.Lo, Kim Kardashian and others. Note of clarification from Valentino: No minks were harmed in making these eyelashes, “mink eyelashes” are made of individually selected mink fur hairs that have been harvested by gently brushing live animals. They feel soft and light and have a striking sheen to them, I’m actually wearing a pair while writing this, and so far, no one from PETA has thrown red paint on my eyes! Mink eyelashes aren’t cruel; they’re just slightly ostentatious. As the newest craze in today’s beauty world, lashes, once custom made for celebrities were prohibitively expensive, are now more affordable. Mink lashes are the most expensive among the false eyelashes. They are stylish, elegant, and provide you with a look that will surely turn many of your friends (and enemies) green with envy, and you’ll certainly
get that SECOND GLANCE from the opposite sex. Mink eyelashes do for your eyes what the push up bra does for the décolletage. The question is, what’s so great about this new fad? As most women know, the daily routine of curling your eyelashes, applying mascara and making sure you’re ready to conquer the world, and look good doing it, can be a time consuming. With Mink lashes, there is no need for the morning grooming. The dark, silky shine of the lashes eliminates any need to apply mascara. With different curl options that can fit any woman’s face, there is no need to spend precious morning minutes with your eyelash curler. Ladies, you’ll never be accused of high maintenance with these lashes; they save time, and even rejuvenate your “look”. Athletes, women with
short, or no lashes, moms on the go, and women who want more than a mascara effect can wear them. Just like natural lashes, they are resistant to heat, water and even pool chlorine. They can be cared for with any water-based cleanser. They create an appearance that lifts your eyes, making you look years younger!

In countries where shorts for women are restricted in public, I have decided that my first article will be to start a full on FASHION MOVE in Ahwatukee. Shorts for night wear! After spending some time people watching, I have found that women in long pants are virtually non-existent, and the Arizona heat is partly responsible. On the flip side, it’s the look and feel of cotton that is the fabric of your new evening wear. Follow the trendy ways to wear them this summer, for our neck of the woods, means until November. Wear them for spinning, biking, shopping, going to the park or out to dinner.

Is it the menu, the décor, the name? And can a male oriented establishment appeal to women as well? Those questions, among others, were swirling inside my head as I walked into the The Public House Garage the other evening, meeting up with three male friends, two of which, I learned, could qualify as professional eaters.

Perusing the menu, it was quickly apparent that I was, indeed in Man Land. Beef, Chicken, Pork, Chicken, Beef, Chicken, Chicken, did I mention Chicken? If you’re protein deprived, this is the place for you. But to be clear, there really was something for everyone on the broad menu, and with a fairly aggressive happy hour offering, you could create a meal that’s satisfying to the palate and easy on the wallet. Not a bad combination in our current economic times

There are the usual suspects, Grand Canyon, Sedona, etc. But OUR RESIDENT PRO PHOTOGRAPHERS like to find the obscure.

Our very creative publisher suggested I write about interior decorating tips for the interiors of our cars. She said to me, “You design right? So you can design and decorate anything, right?” There is truth to that. However it’s also true that I have never been hired to decorate the interior of anyone’s vehicle. But I thought hey, why not? We are what we drive right?

As I started my vehicle design research, I was amazed at all the cool things there are out there for our cars interiors. And as I got more into it I realized there are a lot of similarities in designing your home space and your car space. I found awesome floor, seat and window coverings and tons of hip and functional accessories I wanted to share with you.
